The School is a ‘happy city experiment’ and invites designers, artists, city makers, local residents, etc. to take the city as a workshop in a residency program. From the end of May The School, together with the province of Limburg, formulated five current challenges, which are contained in as many design trajectories. This team of young makers is looking for ways to shape the city of tomorrow, today. Discussion topics are mobility, talent, retail, the circular sneaker or signature and fashion. Four senior designers (Frédéric Boonen, Wim Celis, Ben Hagenaars and Pablo Hannon) take a team under the guidance of The School to work out a vision on this. The results are shown in the Ambiorix barracks of Tongeren.
